In the lifetime of the child born today, 20-30% of the world's plant and animal species will be on the brink of extinction because of global warming. As America's largest conservation organization, National Wildlife Federation has led the way in bringing attention to the impacts of global warming on our natural world. The choices Americans make to protect wildlife for future generations will help create a world that will be healthier and safer for people too. Our work to confront global warming, protect and restore wildlife and habitat, and reconnect people with nature requires that we engage diverse communities and organizations all across America - from community to community, from coast to coast. Here is just a sampling of our 2008 accomplishments.
