2012 Annual Meeting

Dear Conservation Colleague:

We invite you to join us at National Wildlife Federation’s 76th Annual Meeting, May 18-20, 2012 at the National Conservation Training Center (NCTC) in Shepherdstown, West Virginia.  As the training headquarters for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, NCTC is dedicated to interpretation and display of America’s conservation heritage and provides an inspiring and secluded setting for this year’s meeting where we will attend to the annual business at hand and address key conservation issues.

The theme of this year’s meeting, Keep the Wild Alive, encompasses NWF’s vision of a healthy world in which our children’s children breathe clean air, drink clean water and enjoy a diverse array of wildlife and natural areas, and also puts into action a plan to achieve this dream.  We have workshops and sessions planned that will cover an array of relevant topics including: board development, leadership succession, strategic planning, fundraising, and camo-coalition building.  NCTC is a walking campus and you will have ample time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings as you traverse NCTC’s trails and walkways.

At times of increasing national discord and political polarization, National Wildlife Federation brings people together around common values to do what needs to be done for the future of wildlife.  Since its inception in 1936, National Wildlife Federation has united Americans who believe that our air, water and wildlife habitats are valuable public resources to be protected for future generations.  Please join us in Shepherdstown, West Virginia and share your perspectives on these and other critical issues facing conservation today.

We look forward to seeing you in May.
