Meet the NWF Board Candidates Welcome Reception & Silent Auction
At this casual opening reception, you will have an opportunity to meet the NWF Board candidates and also help support NWF affiliates by participating in a silent auction. All auction proceeds will benefit the NWF Affiliate Mini Grant Program.
Awards Luncheon
The Charlie Shaw Conservation Partnership Award annually recognizes individuals within a NWF affiliate organization. The award recognizes someone who has made outstanding contributions to the advancement of the NWF/Affiliate partnership.
Affiliate of the Year, a National Conservation Achievement Award, recognizes NWF affiliate organizations for conservation accomplishments and contributions to collaborative efforts with NWF and its supporters.
The National Conservation Award for Special Achievement recognizes individuals for exemplary conservation achievement.
National Wildlife Federation since 2003 has recognized the contributions of our volunteers through its annual Volunteer of the Year Award. Volunteer of the Year recognizes a volunteer with NWF or one of its affiliates who has made significant contributions in their community or with their affiliate to further NWF’s goals to confront global warming, safeguard wildlife or connect people with nature.
Opening and Closing Remarks
Addresses will be given by conservation leaders Larry J. Schweiger, President & CEO, National Wildlife Federation and Craig Thompson, Chair, Board of Directors, National Wildlife Federation.
Be Out There: A National Summit on Children and the Outdoors
NWF will spotlight the critical national health and education concern which is disturbingly described as America’s emerging “indoor childhood.” The summit is hosted by NWF. In addition, state satellite summits will be held concurrently at sites across the country, connected by video conference during which leaders in business and government will call upon conservationists and children’s advocates nationwide to take action to address one of the most profound changes in American conservation history.
