Fellow Details:   Jessica is a grad student at Ball State working on a Masters of Landscape Architecture. She is interested in design with intentions it pertains to the built environment. Jessica has been an active volunteer with organization such as the Women’s Resource Center, YMCA youth soccer, and Habitat for Humanity.

The aim of Jessica’s project is to work with the Barnes and Noble-managed campus bookstore to carry, promote, and sell more environmentally and socially-preferable products. The greening of the Ball State bookstore is a priority because of the opportunity to directly affect the consumption of recycled paper and other environmentally preferable products. Her NWF fellowship is also being supported by the Center for a New American Dream (CNAD). The long term goal of this project is to heighten awareness and build enthusiasm for sustainable lifestyle choices.

John Vann, Ball State's Green Initiatives Coordinator will serve as the faculty advisor on this project. Ron Sorrell, the manager of the Ball State Barnes and Noble will be the project verifier.
