Chill Out: Climate Action on Campus
Chill Out was America's first competition and awards program recognizing college and university innovations to reduce global warming pollution. Beginning in 2006, we held the annual Chill Out competition to recognize the projects and people making a difference. The winners were showcased in a webcast to inspire action and leadership at high schools, colleges and universities nationwide.
In 2011, NWF's Campus Ecology Program became a lead partner on the Campus Conservation Nationals (CCN) resource reduction competition and are keeping the Chill Out spirit alive by hosting a video component for the competition. For 2013, close to 200 campuses are competing and are encouraged to enter the CCN 2013 Video Contest.
CCN is largest nationwide electricity and water use reduction competition among colleges and universities.
