Benefits to Campuses:
- Special carbon offset package for campus partners - 10% savings.
- Investment in carbon offset projects that are verified, certified and audited by a third party.
- Investment in diverse projects - energy efficiency, renewable energy and reforestation projects.
- Access to knowledgeable staff at NWF and Carbonfund.org to answer all your questions.
- Access to offsets that are compliant with the ACUPCC (Presidents' Climate Commitment) carbon offset guidelines.
What is a Carbon Offset?
A carbon offset is a verifiable reduction in carbon emissions somewhere in the world other than where the emission is generated.
If campuses are committed to carbon neutrality and they are not able to accomplish this through on-campus projects and strategies, they will need to consider investing in carbon offsets or renewable energy certificates (RECs) and NWF’s Campus Ecology Program can support them with these investments.
