Make Leaf Prints

What you need:

  • Leaves
  • Sponge
  • Ink (or washable paint, for younger children)
  • 2 sheets of newspaper
  • White paper

What you do:

  1. Ask your child to find the bumpier side of the leaf. This is the side that he or she will apply ink or paint.
  2. With sponge, apply ink or paint evenly across the back of the leaf.
  3. Place white paper on one sheet of newspaper, press painted side of leaf onto paper, then cover with second sheet of newspaper.
  4. Lift newspaper carefully and remove leaf and see the print left behind.
