Make Thanksgiving Place Cards

Thanksgiving placecard

What you need:

  • Stiff paper (heavy stationary or poster board)
  • Pen
  • Scissors
  • Hole puncher
  • List of names of all your guests
  • Ribbon or raffia (which ever color works best for your table setting)
  • Pieces of fruit with a stem or a mini-pumpkin -- one for each guest.

What you do:

1. Pick a shape to trace on the card stock -- one for every guest at the table.

2. Cut out the shape and, if necessary, lightly draw a pencil line on the front and a few lines on the back of the card, using a ruler.

3. If your child is old enough to write, have them write the name of the guest on the front. On the back, write a personal thanks to that person. (The personal thanks may be something to come up with as a family.) Erase the pencil lines front and back.

4. Punch a hole in the corner of the card and, using ribbon or raffia, attach it to a piece of fruit (like a pear) or a mini pumpkin, making sure the name is facing up. Put a place card at every place setting.

5. Your guests will feel very special and appreciated. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
