Connect the Constellation Dots

Tracing the constellations in the night sky is a grand game of "connect the dots." But even when you can't get outside, you still can have fun finding them!

Refer to a star guide and sketch the stars of your favorite constellations on a sheet of paper. Using your book, trace their shapes with your child. See if you can remember and find the constellations on your sheet without looking at the book.

You can also make your own constellations! Cover a sheet of paper with a random assortment of dots. See what shapes you and your child can find among the "stars" on the paper. Don't forget to give names to your constellations!
