Make a Rain Shaker

Do a rain dance with this fun shaker made from paper plates!

What You Need:

  • 2 paper plates
  • markers
  • glue
  • streamers or ribbons
  • uncooked beans, rice, popcorn kernels, etc.

What You Do:

  • Decorate the back of the paper plates with washable markers or fingerpaint and let dry.

  • Place one plate flat on the table and put a small handful of beans on top. Apply glue to the edges of the paper plate. Add ribbons or crepe paper as desired. Carefully put the other paper plate on top. Let the glue dry completely before shaking.

  • Go outside and do a rain dance with your child!
