Make a Tree Journal

In your nature journal or a notebook make a page about the tree you climb. Draw a picture or take a photo to help capture the memory. For fun, why not give your tree a name? Answer the following questions about your tree:

How tall is it? (Taller than the house or not?)
Do I know what kind of tree it is?
How wide is it? (How far around my tree can I get my arms? Hey, how long are my arms, anyway?!)
What does the bark feel like? Look like?
Does it have leaves or needles?
Where is it? (Front yard, backyard, near the fence, or close to the house?)
Does anything make its home there?
Can I see any of the roots? What do they look like?
Will it give me shade this summer?
