Photograph Nature Spots

Brother and Sister in leaves

One fun way to observe and learn about your favorite green space is to photograph it with your child, over time.

  1. Choose a favorite spot in your green space (even if, at this time of year, it's not very green) and take a photograph.
  2. Make notes to help you recreate this same photograph at a later date.
  3. Four times a year--once for each season--take the same photograph.
  4. Share the photos with your child and compare them. What has changed? What has stayed the same? Discuss the changes you notice and see if you can explain why they've occurred.
