National Kids' Study

A boy and his dog on the beachNational Wildlife Federation, the University of Tennessee, Texas A&M and the U.S. Forest Service are working on a very exciting national research project to understand:

  • How much time do kids spend outdoors?
  • What activities do they engage in?
  • What are the key influences for kids to spend time outdoors, particularly in nature based experiences?

 

The proposal, titled “National Kids' Study: Children’s Time Outdoors in Nature,” has the potential to provide key data to better understand how children spend time outdoors and inform policy decisions, youth programming, and much more.
