Campus Networks

To accelerate climate leadership on and off campus, National Wildlife Federation’s Campus Ecology program is helping to build and strengthen Campus Sustainability and Climate Networks across the country. Over more than two decades, Campus Ecology’s tools, training, and expertise have empowered students, staff, and faculty to implement conservation and environmental education initiatives on hundreds of campuses nationwide.

As higher education continues to embrace sustainability in operations, curricula, and outreach to the community, interactive networks are playing a valuable role in helping colleges and universities:

learn from each other, reducing the need to "reinvent the wheel" when it comes to campus sustainability
prepare students for green and sustainable careers
conserve energy, water, and natural resources, while also reducing operating costs
implement the American Colleges and Universities President's Climate Commitment (ACUPCC)
promote clean energy solutions and sustainability in their communities
