NWF's top priority is the passage of federal legislation that:

• Places a national cap on carbon dioxide emissions (global warming pollution).
• Provides funding to agencies in charged of protecting our nation's natural resources that are threatened by global warming.
• Provides assistance and opportunities to underserved communities that are feeling the greatest economic and environmental impacts from our current energy policies.
• Ensures that forests and farmland are properly managed to help alleviate the effects of global warming.
• Provides funding for education and training for green jobs.
• Ensures federal commitment to protecting the world's tropical forests.
