Fundraising Opportunities and Contests

Are you looking for funding to help you implement the Eco-Schools USA program? Do you have a student or class that deserves recognition for their efforts to go green? We might be able to help!

Contests

• 2nd Annual Great American Can Roundup School Challenge -  The Can Manufacturers Institute is awarding $1,000 to a school in each state and the District of Columbia who recycles the most aluminum cans per student and an additional $5,000 to the top per capita recycling school nationwide.  That is in addition to the recycling proceeds earned from recycling. The contest period is from America Recycles Day (Nov. 15) to Earth Day (April 22) 2012.  You must register by December 15 to participate in the challenge.

Adopt-a-Classroom - Public school teachers who register their classroom can be adopted by an individual, a business or a foundation.
Reuseit.com - Waste-free Lunches is a program that helps schools to raise money while cutting down on lunchtime waste.
