Sample Energy Audits

We have two different (but related) sample audits to help you complete an Energy Audit for your school.  You will use the data you collect in either of these audits to create your Energy Action Plan.

In-Depth Energy Audit

This audit was developed for the Eco-Schools USA program and is our standard energy audit form that will allow you to inventory your entire school. Download it here.

Energy/Climate Audit

This is a combined Energy/Climate audit from Cool School Challenge that allows you to take an inventory on a class by class basis.

For Secondary Schools (7-12)  

For Elementary Schools (3-6)

This audit utilizes an Excel carbon calculator to translate KWH (kilowatt hours) into CO2 emissions. Learn more about the Cool School Challenge carbon calculator.
