Transportation Pathway Objectives and Learning Outcomes

Objectives

  • To raise awareness about the impact of travel on the environment and people's health
  • To inspire and enable children and parents to walk, cycle and use public transportation
  • To implement an effective road safety awareness program for students and their families
  • To provide adequate support and information for students and staff who wish to walk, cycle or use public transport


Learning Outcomes
Through work with the Transportation Pathway, students will:

  • Assess the impact of traffic on the local environment and their local community
  • Make proposals to improve the local environment and take part in local community initiatives to implement the proposals
  • Collect, interpret and present information
  • Communicate about transportation choices to a variety of audiences, including other students, parents and the local community
  • Work cooperatively with others
