Paper Plate Owl
Your child will get a hoot out of this craft project!
What you need:
4 paper plates
stapler
brown paint
paintbrush
colored felt or paper
scissors
glue
yarn
What you do:
To make the owl's body, face two paper plates, backsides out. Staple the rims together.
To make each wing, bend (don't crease) another paper plate in half and staple it along the rim.
Staple each wing near the top of the owl's body.
For the head, fold over about one-third of a plate and staple it.
Staple the head to the body.
Paint the owl brown.
Glue on felt or paper eyes and a beak.
Slip a piece of yarn under the fold in the head. Knot the ends together to make a hanger.
Hang your owl where you can watch it watch you!
