Moon Rock Biscuits
These tasty biscuits look like real moon rocks!
What you need:
1 cup self-rising flour
¼ cup dry oatmeal
6 tablespoons sugar
¼ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
1 egg
6 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
¼ cup raisins
greased baking sheet
What you do:
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Mix the flour, oatmeal, sugar, and cinnamon together with fork in a large bowl until well blended.
Add 6 tablespoons of softened butter and one beaten egg to the dry mixture and blend with fork until the batter has a sticky consistency.
Add the raisins to the batter and mix together with fork.
Take small handfuls of batter and form them into balls, each about the size of a golf ball, and place onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake approximately 15 minutes. Let cool for 5-10 minutes. Makes 8-12 biscuits.
