Moon Rock Biscuits

These tasty biscuits look like real moon rocks!

Moonrock Biscuits

What you need:

  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • ¼ cup dry oatmeal
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 egg
  • 6 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
  • ¼ cup raisins
  • greased baking sheet

 

What you do:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.  
  2. Mix the flour, oatmeal, sugar, and cinnamon together with fork in a large bowl until well blended.  
  3. Add 6 tablespoons of softened butter and one beaten egg to the dry mixture and blend with fork until the batter has a sticky consistency.  
  4. Add the raisins to the batter and mix together with fork. 
  5. Take small handfuls of batter and form them into balls, each about the size of a golf ball, and place onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake approximately 15 minutes. Let cool for 5-10 minutes. Makes 8-12 biscuits.
