Arctic Freeze Pops
These fruity, frozen treats are a refreshing way to beat the summer heat.
What you need:
1/2 cup cranberry juice
1/2 cup grape juice
8-16 fresh (cut up) or frozen (slightly thawed) strawberries
24-32 fresh (cut up) or frozen (slightly thawed) blueberries
1 ice cube tray
16 ice cream sticks
What you do:
Pour the cranberry juice in the cube spaces on the left-hand side of the ice cube tray, filling each cube about three-quarters of the way.
Pour the grape juice in the cubes on the right-hand side of the tray, filling each cube about three-quarters of the way.
Put one to three pieces of fruit in each cube. The strawberries go in the cranberry juice; the blueberries go in the grape juice.
Place the tray in the freezer for about an hour.
Insert one ice-cream stick in each cube.
Return the tray to the freezer for 4-5 hours.
Carefully remove each pop by holding the stick and gently moving it back and forth until the ice pops out. You can also try to loosen them by bending the tray a little.
You can now enjoy a nice c-c-cold treat!
