Trail Mix

This easy-to-make snack is great for refueling during a hike or after a long day playing around the campsite. You can use the classic recipe, or spice things up with a special ingredient from each of our favorite pals, Bonnie and Chester.

Bonnie the Bluebird eats all kinds of seeds, but her guilty pleasure is chocolate-covered sunflower seeds. Add them to your trail mix to kick it up a notch!

Chester the Chipmunk goes nuts for nuts. So it's no surprise his special ingredient is peanut M&Ms. A chocolaty crunch is just what your trail mix needs!

What you do:

  1. Measure all the ingredients and mix them together in a bowl.
  2. Divide the mixture into serving-size portions and put in sealable plastic bags.

Makes 14 half-cup servings.
