Trail Mix
This easy-to-make snack is great for refueling during a hike or after a long day playing around the campsite. You can use the classic recipe, or spice things up with a special ingredient from each of our favorite pals, Bonnie and Chester.

What you need:
- 4 cups O-shaped cereal
- 1 cup nuts (peanuts, almonds, pecans, walnuts, or a mixture)
- ½ cup raisins
- ½ cup dried cranberries
- ½ cup dried apricots
- sealable plastic bags
Bonnie the Bluebird eats all kinds of seeds, but her guilty pleasure is chocolate-covered sunflower seeds. Add them to your trail mix to kick it up a notch!

Chester the Chipmunk goes nuts for nuts. So it's no surprise his special ingredient is peanut M&Ms. A chocolaty crunch is just what your trail mix needs!
What you do:
- Measure all the ingredients and mix them together in a bowl.
- Divide the mixture into serving-size portions and put in sealable plastic bags.
Makes 14 half-cup servings.
