Bat Mobile

Use an egg carton to make this creepy creature of the night.

  • 1 piece of black construction paper
  • 2 small black buttons
  • 2 cups from an egg carton
  • Glue
  • 1 small scrap of red construction paper
  • Scissors
  • 1 piece of yarn (about 10 inches long)
Cut Out the Bat's Wings

Cut out two wings (each about 4 1/2 inches long) from black construction paper.

Glue Wings On

Glue the wings on to the outside rim of one egg cup. Glue one end of yarn onto the inside of the same egg cup.

Let Wings and Yarn Dry

Let the wings and yarn dry for 30 minutes.

Complete Bat's Body

Glue the rim of the second cup onto the rim of the first cup to complete the bat's body. Let dry an hour.

Add Eyes and Mouth

Glue on button eyes and a red paper mouth. Let dry 15 minutes. Hang your bat by the yarn.
