Microwave Apple SlicesSet the microwave on defrost (about 30 percent power) for 15 minutes. Remove the slices after they've cooked for 15 minutes and turn them over. Cook another five minutes. If the apple slices aren't dried after 15 minutes, continue cooking at two-minute increments until done. Finished slices will be dry and a bit leathery.
- Note: Microwaves vary, so be sure to check the apple slices periodically during baking to make sure they aren't turning brown. That means they are burning.
