Homemade Energy Bars

These nutritious treats will give your child plenty of energy for exercise and play. The best power-packed treats, bar none!

  • 1/3 cup dried fruit cut into small pieces (raisins, berries, pineapple, mixed fruit, etc.)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
  • 1 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • Cooking spray or butter
Mix the Wet Ingredients

Blend the peanut butter and honey in a mixing bowl.

Mix In the Dry Ingredients

Mix in the oats and fruit. Stir until all the dry ingredients are evenly coated with the peanut butter mixture.

Place Mixture in Pan

Spray a baking pan with cooking spray or coat with butter. Press the mixture evenly into the pan, making it about one-half inch thick overall.

Refrigerate Pan

Put the pan in the refrigerator for about two hours.

Cut Mixture Into Bars
Cut the mixture into two-inch squares and serve.
