Geckos to Go

You can make a bright gecko—it's easy and it will add a bit of cheer to any room.

Craft Gecko2

What You Do:

  • Draw or trace the outline of a gecko on a piece of lightweight cardboard, such as an empty cereal box or a file  folder. Then cut out the shape.
  • Use craft paint to decorate the top of the gecko with colorful designs, as shown.
  •  Use craft glue to attach short pieces of pipe cleaner underneath the gecko's legs and tail. After the glue has dried, bend these parts to make your gecko look as if it's crawling.
  • To display your gecko on a window, glue a couple of small suction cups to its unpainted side. To put it on a  metal refrigerator, glue on magnets. Or just show your gecko off on a flat surface.

Now, who wouldn't love these lively looking lizards?
