Fridge Flowers

Flower Fridge Magnetby Michelle Stitzlein

What You Need:
(for one medium-sized flower)

  • About 33 small plastic bottle caps
  • About 2 medium-sized plastic caps or lids
  • One old 45 rpm phonograph record (found at flea markets or antique stores)*
  • Several small magnets (6 were used for the flower at right; available in craft stores)
  • 80 clear adhesive or glue dots (1/2 inch in diameter and 1/8 inch thick; 3D, high-tack kind)

*instead of a record, a lid from a plastic container of ice cream works. For a smaller flower, use an old CD.

Flower Fridge MagnetsWhat You Do:

1. Attach the magnets to the back of the record with a few glue dots.

2. Create a design with the caps on the front side of the record.

3. Attach the caps to the record—or to each other, as shown—with glue dots.

That's it.  Now make more and watch your fridge burst into bloom!
