Dig Those Dinos
Did our story in the July 2003 issue of Ranger Rick about two kids digging for dinosaurs make you want to go out fossil hunting?
Check out our list below of places where you can dig for dinosaurs. You can ask an adult to find out more about the ones that interest you. At most of these digs, you have to be a certain age and you have to have an adult along.
Before you head out, you should know a few things:
Digs can be hot, dusty places. And in some cases, you have to hike in to the dig site. Also, the work takes lots and lots of patience. So if you get bored easily or hate hiking, maybe you should think twice about doing this. Most places charge a fee to let you dig and will tell you what you need to bring.
