Penguin Puppet

Put on a penguin puppet performance with this perfectly playful craft!

Penguin Puppet

What you need:

  • small paper bag
  • black, white, and yellow construction paper
  • glue
  • scissors

What you do:

  1. Cut out the shapes for the penguin. You will need one black circle for the penguin's head, one large black oval and one slightly smaller white oval for the body, three yellow triangles for the feet and beak, two small white circles for the eyes, and two medium sized black ovals for the arms.
  2. If your child is ready to glue these pieces onto the paper bag, you can help him or her create their puppet. If your child is too young, glue on the pieces yourself.
  3. Now let your child play with the puppet and have fun. You can make up a penguin story and have your child act it out. If you make two puppets, you and your child can play together with the puppets and have a penguin conversation.
