Coordinator, Sportsmen Outreach
Baton Rouge, LA
Ben Weber started at NWF as Administrative Assistant in the Baton Rouge office, and developed into the Mississippi River Delta Restoration Campaign’s Sportsmen Outreach Coordinator, working nationally with sportsmen and women to protect and restore one of our country’s greatest landscapes – the rapidly disappearing coastal wetlands of the Mississippi River Delta.
Ben is a proud South Louisiana native, born and raised on the banks of the Mississippi River. An avid angler and hunter, Ben has worked in the conservation world for 12 years in a variety of settings; from youth leadership and backcountry guiding, to logging and fisheries, to research and wetlands ecology, Ben has experienced and fought for the very best of what our country has to offer in wildlife and wild places. He now resides with his family in Southern Louisiana. When work doesn’t take him on the road, he can usually be found deep in the coastal marshes of south Louisiana chasing fish and game, or at home with his young daughter, living the good life and counting down the days until her first redfish on a fly rod, and her first trip to the duck blind.
