Carly Queen
Campus Field Coordinator, Campus Ecology Program
Southeast Regional Center - Atlanta, GA

Carly serves as the primary coordinator of field work for NWF's Campus Ecology program in the Southeast.

Campus Ecology works with faculty, staff and students at universities, colleges and community colleges to advance campus sustainability efforts.  Campus Ecology field staff spread best practices from campus to campus and into communities by facilitating networks, organizing educational events, providing free consultation services to assist campuses with their sustainability initiatives and distributing resources throughout their region, many of which can be found online at Campus Ecology

Before she began working for the National Wildlife Federation, Carly was the Senior Field Manager for The Fund for Public Interest Research.  After leading the Atlanta office to break the all-time record for funds raised in a summer, largely to support Environment Georgia's campaign to protect some of Georgia's most pristine rivers, Carly went on to be the founder and two-term President of Students Organizing for Sustainability (SOS) at Georgia Tech.  As a student organizer, Carly led campaigns to make campus dining more sustainable through waste reduction and local, organic and vegetarian purchasing options, set up a bike co-op program and educate Georgia Tech and surrounding communities about sustainability in principle and in practice.

Carly holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
