Senior Manager, Climate & Energy
Catherine Bowes is NWF's Senior Manager for Climate and Energy, working to leverage NWF's policy expertise as well as field and communications resources to address climate change in the Northeast. Catherine manages NWF's diverse portfolio of Northeast climate advocacy, including our robust Atlantic Offshore Wind Campaign seeking to advance appropriately-sited offshore wind power for the region.
She has held multiple positions over her twelve years at NWF, including directing campaigns to reduce mercury pollution and build political support for a national climate policy. From 2009-2010 she served as NWF’s lead Climate Policy Representative on Capitol Hill. Catherine previously worked for Conservation Law Foundation, building public support for environmental advocacy issues around New England. She holds a Master's degree in Environmental Policy from Bard College and a B.A. in Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis.
