NWF Regional Representative
South Central Regional Center - Austin, Texas
Geralyn is the Regional Representative for NWF's South Central office in Austin, Texas, working with state affiliates and partners in Missouri, Arkansas and Louisiana. She has been a Regional Representative with NWF since January 2008.
Originally from Oklahoma, Geralyn has lived and worked in various parts of the United States focusing on outdoor programming and environmental conservation work. Previously, she was Executive Director of the Cumberland River Compact, a regional watershed organization based in Nashville, Tennessee that focused on education and cooperation to enhance water quality. Prior to that, Geralyn managed the outdoor recreation program for the Metro Nashville Parks and Recreation Department and has also served on the boards of many non-profit organizations. She has a passion for the outdoors and enjoys most anything that gets her outside, whether it’s backpacking, canoeing, or playing soccer and ultimate frisbee.
As Regional Representative for NWF, Geralyn ensures the long-term effectiveness of NWF, its state-wide affiliates, and grassroots partners by facilitating the development of strong organizations, cultivating and inspiring strong and influential leaders, and creating a powerful network to achieve national and regional conservation victories. Geralyn provides support, guidance and tools to help our state affiliates a) focus internally -- to build their organizations and keep them healthy, directed by strong leaders; and b) grow the conservation movement externally -- to forge diverse partnerships with key people and organizations in their state and around the country.
