Regional Development Manager
South Central Regional Center, Austin, TX

Gwen is the Regional Philanthropy Officer for NWF’s South Central Regional Center. She joined National Wildlife Federation with more than 15 years of nonprofit experience in fundraising, events planning, marketing, and operations. She is responsible for coordinating philanthropic efforts in the region, including grant research and submissions, event planning, individual donor cultivation, and corporate partnerships. Gwen has worked in a variety of arts and social service organizations, and is happy to now be dedicating her time and efforts on the environment. Gwen’s love for the outdoors began early in life, on month‐long family vacations that took her to National Parks across the U.S. She and her husband still take every opportunity to hike, bike and explore the great outdoors here at home and around the world. Texas’ rivers and springs hold a special appeal and protection of these precious resources is a priority for Gwen. Weekends she can be found stewarding her own little slice of the beautiful Texas Hill Country at her property on the Blanco River. Gwen is a certified Master Naturalist, NWF Habitat Steward, and native landscape enthusiast. She is an avid volunteer and has served on several nonprofit boards. Gwen also enjoys singing, cooking, biking, running, traveling, and yoga.
