Hayley received a B.A. in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Cruz in 2008.
She worked extensively with the Land Trust of Santa Cruz County throughout college on various land management projects, and upon graduating worked for The Nature Conservancy. While at TNC she worked on the Garcia River Forest in Mendocino County, CA, focusing on invasive species management. In January 2009 Hayley moved to Missoula and began working at NRPRC in April 2009.
She is currently pursuing a M.S. in Environmental Studies at the University of Montana.
