Jennifer Janssen is the Online Campaign Strategy Manager for the National Wildlife Federation and is based in the the Great Lakes Regional Center.

Jennifer is responsible for inspiring National Wildlife Federation members fight for the wildlife and wild places they love. She helps NWF's passionate supporters participate in the political process to advocate on behalf of wildlife for policies that address climate change, promote clean energy, protect at-risk species, and conserve the ecosystems on which wildlife depend. The incredible power of the Great Lakes and the rich forests of the Appalachian Mountains are what inspire her.

Prior to joining NWF, Jennifer worked with volunteers at the River Raisin Watershed Council. She earned her Master's Degree in Resource Ecology and Management at the University of Michigan's School of Natural Resources and Environment in 2008, completing research on restoring headwater streams in agricultural landscapes. Jennifer received her B.A. in Biology at DePauw University in 2005, where her honors research led her to the Appalachian Mountains to learn from women's activism to end mountaintop removal coal mining.

When not at work, Jennifer can be found outside.
