Jill is the Director for the Choose Clean Water Coalition and supports its governing board, the Coalition’s Steering Committee. Previously she was the Waterkeeper at San Diego Coastkeeper, and Deputy Director of the Tulane Environmental Law Clinic where her work included collaborating with groups throughout the Mississippi River watershed to tackle nutrient pollution issues. Jill started her career as an associate attorney with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in New York City and also clerked for the Honorable Virginia H. Covington, U.S. District Court Judge in Ft. Myers, Florida.
Jill has an undergraduate degree in environmental science and political science from the University of Notre Dame and received her Juris Doctor from Washington University in St. Louis. She was selected by Harvard Law School as a Wasserstein Fellow in 2012 and in 2013 was appointed to the National Environmental Justice Advisory Council.
Her passion for her work began when as a young girl she felt called to protect the environment. Jill lives in Annapolis, Maryland with her fiancé.
