Michael Saul

Associate Counsel
Rocky Mountains & Prairies Regional Center - Boulder, CO
303-441-5166

Michael Saul first came west after finishing college in the Northeast, and immediately fell in love with the mountains and forests of Colorado. As the Rocky Mountains and Prairies Regional Center’s Associate Counsel, Michael works on a wide range of legal issues across the West, including litigation to protest bad oil and gas leasing decisions – like the Roan Plateau. Over the past year, Michael has devoted many hours to developing the wildlife rules called for in Colorado House Bill 1298, working with the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission and the Division of Wildlife to find ways to minimize impacts to wildlife habitat.

Michael also works with tribes on natural resource issues. He recently conducted a training session in Montana for the Northern Cheyenne tribe, assisting tribal members in understanding NEPA, and how to intervene in the BLM leasing process.

Fortunately for all of us, Michael plans to spend many more years in the Rocky Mountains, hiking, camping, backcountry skiing, and defending wildlife.
