Sarah was born and raised in the foothills above Denver and grew up climbing Colorado’s peaks and rafting the rivers of the West. Because of her upbringing, Sarah has a close connection to nature, a great appreciation for the wilderness experience, and a desire to protect the few remaining wild places. After graduating from the University of Michigan, Sarah returned to Colorado to attend CU Law School, where she focused on environmental and natural resources law.
Sarah joined NWF as the Public Lands and Tribal Lands Intern in September 2011, for which she now holds the position of Program Assistant. In May 2012, she began serving as associate attorney. Sarah’s practice focuses on public land law and policy, oil and gas law, and renewable energy policy.
