In honor of Earth Day's 40th Anniversary, National Wildlife Federation invited employees to bring their kids to work for a day of outdoor fun.

Activities included a Ranger Rick Geocaching adventure on the nature trail behind NWF's Reston, Virginia headquarters building, a make your own "chia pet" activity, animal bingo, and a live presentation with zoo animals.

National Wildlife Federation also joined the Department of the Interior on the national mall in downtown Washington, DC to take part in the inaugural Buddy Bison Earth Day Celebration. The event was designed to engage kids in environmental stewardship, promote outdoor activities and health, and celebrate our national parks.

Read more about this event and see a video of National Park Service Director Jon Jarvis and Ranger Rick speak to the importance of getting outdoors over on NWF's blog.

On Sunday, April 25th, National Wildlife Federation is encouraging people to attend Earth Day Network's massive climate rally on The National Mall to demand that Congress pass a strong climate bill in 2010. It is not too late to sign up.
