WASHINGTON, DC -- House Democrats have selected Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA) as the next chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, succeeding current Chairman John Dingell (D-MI).

Larry Schweiger, president and CEO of the National Wildlife Federation, said today:
