Driving on Computers

No, this isn´t about a new video game. Cars in Massachusetts soon will drive on top of the plastic components of computers and accessories such as printers and scanners, in the form of pothole filler made from the devices. The move is part of a master plan to recycle otherwise useless discarded electronic equipment, which adds 75,000 tons of solid waste every year to the state´s landfills. Computers aren´t the first recycled objects to be used in pavement: Other discarded materials that have helped patch and pave the nation´s roadways include crushed porcelain toilets.
