Flamingos in flight

04-20-2010 // Sebastien Burel

Flamingos landing in the Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania, were photographed by Californian Sebastien Burel. He says the birds had been spooked by a red kite trying to snatch some eggs. The crater, approximately 100 square miles in size, is a large volcano that collapsed on itself millions of years ago and now supports a wide variety of wildlife. Burel used a Nikon d200 and an 80-400mm lens.
