Dallas, Texas, photographer Jim Ross writes, “I was surprised to find a mourning dove building a nest in the second story flower box on my fiancée’s patio.  Soon, two eggs hatched and the ever-hungry babies demanded to be fed.  After a full meal one day, the young nestled in close to their mother.”  Ross used a Canon EOS 50D with a 28-105mm lens.
