sunset over Olympic National Park by Daniel Ewert

WHILE ON A BACKCOUNTRY TRIP along the Olympic National Park coastline, Florida resident Daniel Ewert saw that the overcast sky was breaking up, allowing some of the sunset colors to come through over the Pacific. He says, "I set up on a beach and used a long exposure to capture the movement of the incoming waves." He used a Canon EOS 5D, a 17-40 mm lens and a tripod.
