Photo of the Week: Glacial Waterfalls

As cold as they come

SAMUEL BLANC WAS PHOTOGRAPHING IN SVALBARD, NORWAY, last year when he came upon these waterfalls coming from a melting glacier.  The sun shone through the dark clouds for a brief period, enhancing the dramatic landscape.  Blanc, from France, used a Canon EOS 40D and a 70-200mm lens.
