Cherry Blossom by Wayne Sparks

Cherry trees are the attraction in Washington, D.C., this week, but other cities also celebrate the pink blossoms. Oregon photographer Wayne Sparks found these in Fresno, California. “Every spring, the city officials create a blossom trail for people to enjoy,” says Sparks. Once pollinated, the trees will produce the year’s fruit crop. He used a Canon EOS 20D with a 100-400mm lens.
