Photo of the Week: Snowy Yellowstone

The park's Grand Canyon, quiet and remote

Yellowstone National Park provides wonderful photo opportunities during winter. Louisiana resident Mark Lagrange captured this scene last winter in the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. While frequented in summer, the canyon is accessible only by snow coach in winter. Lagrange writes, “This image captures the feel of grandeur yet remoteness one senses should one choose to enter the park during this time of year.” Lagrange used a Canon EOS 7D and a 70-200mm lens.
