Japanese maple tree in fall colors

Miles Morgan captured this image of a Japanese maple tree in Portland, Oregon. “This famous tree is an icon of Portland,” the local resident writes. "I really enjoyed shooting up from below the red canopy. Soft light and recent rains caused the colors to be even more vibrant than normal." Morgan used a Canon 5D Mark II, a 17-40mm lens and a tripod.
