A colorful couple snuggle in the rain

For Valentine’s Day, we present a pair of colorful rainbow lorikeets. This couple frequents Lesley Smitheringale’s garden in Brisbane, Australia, to feed. The photographer says, “These two were snuggling up to each other on a rainy afternoon and I wanted to capture the close bond they have.” Smitheringale used a Canon EOS 400D with a 70-200mm lens and 1.4x extender.
